ASHTABULA — Lucille Marie (Melaragno) Colantino, age 89, of Ashtabula, a very special wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Country Club Retirement Campus.
She was born Dec. 13, 1923, in Ashtabula, to Angelo and Antonette (Billy) Melaragno. She married Joseph H. Colantino on Oct. 11, 1947.
Lucille was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church and she enjoyed bowling, cooking and loving her family immensely.
Survivors include a son, James (Mary Jo) Colantino of Cary, N.C.; a daughter, Cathy Jo (Mark) Restelli of Cranberry Township, Pa.; six grandchildren, Jamie (Mark) Frey, Lindsey (Brian) Thomas, Anthony Colantino, Zachary, Blake, and M. Brennan Restelli; one great-granddaughter, Mallory Rae Frey, a brother, Bernard (Mary) Melaragno; and a sister, Ann (Gabe) Nappi.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Joseph; and their son, Gary; five brothers, Joseph, Vincent, Edward, Raymond and Albert.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon, Monday, April 1st, in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Mother of Sorrows Church, with burial to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Monday, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula.
