GENEVA — Herbert Chenoweth Sr., age 85, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014, at his home.
Born March 28, 1928, in Maybe, W.Va., he was the son of Ann (Pritt) and Carl Chenoweth. He married Betty Lou Mace on Nov. 21, 1946, in Elkins, W.Va.
Herbert worked for the Industrial Rayon and American Cyanamid, retiring in 1977.
He was a member of the Free Pentecostal Fellowship Church and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Sue (Darwin Sr.) Jeppe and Deborah (William Johns) Clugh, both of Geneva; his son, Herbert (Violet) Chenoweth Jr. of Oregon; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister, Anna (Sonny) Hamblet of Florida; and brother, Jerry (Carol) Chenoweth of Perry.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers, Marvin, Carl and Thomas Chenoweth; and son-in-law, Robert Clugh.
Family will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 27th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio 44041.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, March 28th, at the Funeral Home. Final resting place will be Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva, Ohio.
