GENEVA — Frank DeAngelis, age 74, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at home with his loving family by his side.
Born May 18, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Brigida (Sanelli) DeAngelis and was a resident of Geneva for most of his life. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1960 to 1963. On Feb. 12, 1966, he married Susan Lee Berg in Madison, Ohio.
Frank retired as a machine operator and welder from Rockwell International. He also worked at True Temper in Geneva in the Forge Room making garden tools. He was a volunteer for Harpersfield Fire Department for many years.
Being with family, tinkering, car shows, antique engines, camping and traveling, these were the things he enjoyed doing most.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; son, Don DeAngelis of Saybrook; daughter, Tina (Roy) Kirkingburg of Saybrook; brothers, Rel (Mabel) of Geneva and Tony of Ashtabula; sisters, Mary Montgomery of Chardon and Barbara (Henry) Sabelli of Cleveland; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Louise Aponte.
Calling Hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 17th, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 18th, at the Funeral Home, with the Rev. Brian Manary, of United Church of Geneva, officiating. Interment will be at Unionville Cemetery with Military Honors by Geneva VFW Post #6846.
