HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Mrs. Carolyn Redman Herl, age 82, of Huntersville, N.C., died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Olde Knox Commons Nursing Home.
Born June 16, 1930, in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Charles Redman and Florence Mae Jeffers Redman.
She was Past Matron of the Eastern Star, an accompanist for several choral groups, an avid bowler, bridge player and golfer, and loved a good joke.
She was the church organist and choir director at Kingsville Presbyterian Church in Kingsville, Ohio, for many years.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 63 years, H. Douglas Herl; sons, Douglas D. Herl and wife, Wanda, of Columbus, Ohio, and David A. Herl and wife, Barbara, of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Cathy Publicover and husband, Jim, of Lexington, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Duane R. Redman.
Memorial Services will be conducted 2 p.m., Today, Jan. 8th, at the Community Lodge of The Glens with Jim Cooper officiating.
