LOUISVILLE — Barbara A. Anchor, age 81, of Louisville, stepped into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, June 27, 2013, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born May 6, 1932, in Canton, Ohio, to the Late Rees and Ann (Morgan) Edwards.
Barbara was a member of Faith Family Church in Canton and a past member of the Ohio Senior Olympics Volleyball Team. She loved camping, playing volleyball and spending time with her family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard Anchor; three daughters, Laura (James) Campbell, Kathy (Tim) Whitcomb and Becky (Greg) Russell, all of Louisville; her son, Richard (Karen) Anchor Jr. of Akron; four grandchildren, Melissa, Amanda, Andy and Matt; and a sister-in-law, Beverly (Donald) Drought of Geneva, Ohio.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, David Anchor; and sister-in-law, Jean Edwards.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, at STIER-ISRAEL FUNERAL HOME in Louisville, Ohio, with Pastor Janice Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park, Canton, Ohio.
Calling Hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, and also one hour before Services on Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
