GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE — Judith E. (nee Prahst-Martin) Wickert, age 74, of Geneva-on-the-Lake, passed away on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at the Cleveland Clinic, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Feb. 19, 1939, in Cleveland, to Herbert E. C. and Olive M. (Bush) Prahst. She married Chris-John Wickert on July 30, 1994 in Geneva-on-the-Lake.
Judy was a nurses aide for Broadfield Manor for 16 years. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Geneva and was past president of the G.O.T.L. Blazettes and enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her husband, Chris; children, Gerhardt (Melissa) Martin Jr., Kristin (Brett) Floyd, Meghan Wickert, Sean (Melissa) Wickert and Katherine Wickert; grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary, Paige, Kylee, Landon, Joshua, Aric, Leah, Mallory, Mason, Ian and Paisley.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Wed., Feb. 5th, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 811 S. Broadway, Geneva, with a Calling Hour one hour before. The Rev. Curtis May, of Peace Lutheran Church of Chardon, will be officiating.
Calling Hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4th, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva.
