ASHTABULA — Elvera Peet, age 94, of Ashtabula, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born Dec. 2, 1919, she was the daughter of Donato and Marianicola (DeMarco) Volpone.
Mrs. Peet was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was always there to nurture and guide.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Brainard of Perry; sons, Anthony Peet Jr. of Maple Heights and Donnie (Sally) Peet of Ashtabula; seven grandchildren, Carolyn Senecal, Cynthia Decola, Cheri DeAngelis, Caryn Senecal, Michele Peet, Amy Dugie and Julie Nalow; 18 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Caroline Oldani of Mentor; brother, August Volpone of Geneva; many nieces and nephews; her good friend and care giver, Annette DiBell; and her loving dog, “Peanut Butter.”
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony Peet Sr.; brothers, Tony, Jimmy, Albert and Perry; sisters, Mary, Angeline and Adeline; son-in-law, Darrell Brainard; and daughter-in-law, Rosa Mary Peet.
The family would like to thank ACMC, Country Club Retirement Campus and Hospice of the Western Reserve for the care of their mother.
Private family services will be held and burial will take place in Ridgeview Cemetery.
