MADISON — Kenneth Ray Smith, age 74, of Madison, passed away Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at Cardinal Woods Nursing & Rehab in Madison.
He was born April 30, 1939, in Minford, Ohio, to Lola (Stewart) and Lonnie Smith. Kenneth married his loving wife of 48 years, Mildred (Weaver) on April 16, 1965, in Lucasville, Ohio. Kenneth graduated from Minford High School in 1958.
He was a janitor at Twin Rivers Technology for 38 years, retiring in 2005. Ken enjoyed drawing, woodcarving and was a Star Trek fan. He was a member of Peoples Church of Geneva.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Smith; son, Kenneth R. Smith II of Madison; grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas; sister, Doris (Clyde) Hess of Madison; and brother, Louis (Rose) Smith of Rock Creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Agnes Gill; and a brother, Robert Smith.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison.
Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27th, at Peoples Church, 300 South Ridge East, Geneva, Ohio, with the Rev. Alexander Zell, of Peoples Church, officiating. Final Resting Place will be at Madison Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
