THOMPSON — Janet A. Burns, age 80, passed away peacefully into the tender hands of God on Thursday, August 1, 2013.

She was born Jan. 14, 1933, to Ralph and Arlene (Fink) Daniels.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine; infant son; parents; sister, Marlene Rayl; brother James Daniels; and grandson, Logan Buterbaugh.

She is survived by daughters, Charmin (Bud) Wolfe of Madison Ohio and Shawn (Tim) Buterbaugh of Meyersdale, Pa; grandsons, Christopher (Amanda) and Daniel Wolfe, and T J, Cory (Jessica) and Lane Buterbaugh; sisters, Frances White, Shirley (James) Otto and Sherie Daniels; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family; and “special friend” Russell.

She was a resident of Thompson for over 50 years. She was a member of Thompson United Methodist Church. She retired after many years of service as Clerk of Thompson Township and most recently served as Treasurer of the Public Employee Retirees, Inc. Chapter #86.

She loved to travel and collect Beanie Babies and snowmen figurines. She loved flowers, feeding the blue birds, and enjoyed watching the deer and turkeys that would visit her yard. Janet also enjoyed watching movies and the Indians, and she made the best homemade pizza and lasagna. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She loved Frank Sinatra and giving angel pins to her friends. We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful Mother and Grandmother. Her greatest love was her family and she enjoyed watching her grandsons’ sporting events and activities. She was a very generous, kind, patient and loving woman. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 5th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio.

A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 6th, at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Tom Gruver, of Thompson United Methodist Church, officiating. Final Resting Place will be Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson.
