ST. GEORGE, Utah — Lois Ione Crandall Carter, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 23, 2013.

She was born Dec. 16, 1930, in Jamestown, N.Y., to Clifford Neil and Rena Bernice Chambers Crandall. She married Charles Carter in 1954 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple for eternity.

Her family was the center of her life. Our wonderful mother was a compassionate angel to those in need. She served as Relief Society President for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a devoted friend to many.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Charles Richard Carter; her children, Ronda (Todd) Crappa and Brian (Diana) Carter; 11 grandchildren; and her sister, Joanne Schubert of Ohio.

Funeral Services were held at the Toquerville LDS Chapel in Toquerville, Utah. Interment followed at the Toquerville Cemetery.
