ASHTABULA — Pearl M. Book, age 98, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013.
She was born Nov. 19, 1914, in Sheffield Township, Ohio, to Maude M. (Price) and Thomas Edward Mills and married Buell Burton Book in Ripley, N.Y., on Dec. 23, 1933.
Pearl worked for JC Penney Department Store in both Ashtabula and Mentor for many years.
A wonderful seamstress, she was devoted to her faith, active in her church teaching Sunday school at Plymouth United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Paul Book of Madison; daughter, Beverly R. Drew of North Kingsville; brothers, Gordon Mills of Oklahoma and Burton Mills of Kingsville, Ohio.
Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Buell Book; her parents; and sisters, Mable Book, Esther Shoff and Goldie Parsons.
Friends will be received 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio.
Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Vernon Palo will be officiating the service. Final resting place will be at North Madison Cemetery in Madison.
