GENEVA — Roy J. Pudder, age 76, of Geneva, Ohio, died Saturday, August 31, 2013, at home.
He was born Oct. 17, 1936, in Madison, Ohio, to James R. and Ruby A. (Potter) Pudder. Roy married Wilma M. Graham on August 19, 1978, in Geneva.
He served in the U.S. Army and Air Force for 21 years. He was in Civil Service on Military Base in Anchorage, Alaska. He also did lawn maintenance for Normandy Village in Geneva, had various Industrial & Service Occupations at the Perry Power Plant.
Roy was a Life Time Member of Geneva VFW Post #6846 and National Rifle Association. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma; children, James (Toni) Pudder and Salley (Mark) Howell, both of Warsaw, Mo.; step-children, Lisa Ann (Ron) Easton of Hampton, Va., Michelle (Tom) Warling of Coon Rapids, Minn., Gary (Connie) Eller of Caldwell, Texas and James L. (Debbie) Eller of Geneva; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy (Valois) Burgos of Geneva, Karen (John) McCarson of Wilmington, Del. and Linda (Fred) Bishop of Ontario, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Derrick Howell; and brother, Lawrence R. Pudder.
Family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 13th, at Geneva First United Methodist Church, 89 S. Broadway, Geneva followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Bruce Hitchcock officiating.
