STREETSBORO — John F. “Jack” Ralston, age 76, of Streetsboro, Ohio, formerly of Northfield and Conneaut, Ohio, passed away peacefully Friday, August 30, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
His love for his family always came first. Jack was the beloved husband of 30 years to Roberta (née: McGuckin); son of Frank and Marion Ralston (deceased); loving father of Mark Ralston (deceased), Kathy Beveridge (Dan), Karen Bravo, Tom Ralston (Donna), Erica Ralston Kidwell and Robert Ralston. Dearest brother to Marilyn Shirkman (Jim, deceased), Brien Ralston (Beverly) and brother-in-law to Marguerite McGuckin. Boppa to Nick, Jeremy, Amanda, Julia, Brandon, Brittany, Sara, Matt, Chelsea, Marcus, Dylan, Brady and Alyssa. Great-Boppa to Adrianna, Miranda, Trevor, Tanner and Tucker. He was an uncle and great-uncle to many.
He retired from Lubrizol Corporation in 1993 after 34 years of service, was a former volunteer Fire Chief for Northfield Village, and a Veteran, serving as a Sgt. in the United States Army.
He will be forever missed and always in our hearts.
Cremation by TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME of Twinsburg, Ohio. Memorial Services were held TODAY at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, Ohio 44270.
