CONNEAUT — Wallace George Brocklehurst, age 90, of Kingsville Township, Ohio, died on Monday evening, June 10, 2013, at the Villa on the Lake Home in Conneaut, Ohio.
Born Dec. 25, 1922, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of Wells and Ethel (Rood) Brocklehurst. Wally was a graduate of Kingsville High School, Class of 1941, and was a Veteran of the United States Navy.
Mr. Brocklehurst was retired from the Bow Socket in Ashtabula and was also the owner of “Stop and Gab” lawn mower repair business.
He was a 50 year member of the Orion Masonic Lodge 353 in Kingsville, American Legion Neal Post in Kingsville, and Kingsville Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife of over 70 years Bertha Brocklehurst of Kingsville; daughter, Sharon Clemson of Kingsville; son, Wally (Judy) Brocklehurst of Delmont, Pa.; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jeannette Pickens of Bowling Green, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gordon, Wells and Harley Brocklehurst.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 13th, at THOMPSON-SMITH AND NESBITT FUNERAL HOME, 345 Main St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Mary Pisano, of Kingsville Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of Service at THOMPSON-SMITH AND NESBITT FUNERAL HOME.
