KINGSVILLE — Grace A. Littell, age 90, of Conneaut, passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Born Feb. 12, 1923, in Youngstown, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry J. and Florence (Fleishour) Haines. She graduated from Euclid Central High School, in Euclid, Ohio in 1940. After high school, Grace worked as a receptionist at Thompson Aircraft during the war. She married the love of her life Charles Littell on Feb. 1, 1947, at Conneaut Baptist Church.
Mrs. Littell over the years attended many churches but she finally found her home at the Conneaut Assembly of God. Grace always preferred to be a giver than a receiver. She volunteered countless hours on many of the church activities. She ran the church food pantry for many years, baked dozens of cookies to be distributed, and made many hats that were donated to various groups and shelters over the years. Grace also volunteered for many years at Brown Memorial Hospital.
Grace is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Charles of Conneaut; daughter, Patricia (Randy) Bollenbacher of Marysville, Pa.; and her “adopted” granddaughter, Rachel (Bob) Reichle of Hinkley, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Edith Fletcher; and brother, Jack Haines.
At her request, there will be no calling hours or services. A private graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memory Gardens at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Homesafe, P.O. Box 702, Ashtabula, Ohio 44005 or the Conneaut Food Pantry, 327 Mill St., Conneaut, Ohio 44030.
