SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Jon Leslie Loffman, of Scottsdale, Ariz., passed away on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at age 68.
Jon was born August 3, 1945, in Ashtabula, Ohio, to Leslie Loffman and Esther (Johnston) Loffman. He met his wife, Joyce (Walker) Loffman, while they were both students at Kent State University. They celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on April 6, 2013.
Jon’s career in Human Resources took his family all over the continental United States, and later to England and Belgium. He retired from his position as the Vice President of Human Resource for Fiat USA in 2001, and moved to Scottsdale in 2003.
During retirement, Jon was an active member of the Kiwanis Club of Carefree. He served as Club President from 2011-2012, and was proud to be one of the “fleas.”
Jon is survived by his daughter, Sarah Loffman (Chris Brooks), and his grandson, Leland Leslie Brooks of Chicago, Ill. He is also survived by three brothers, Lawrence Loffman of Avon Lakes, Ohio, and Kenneth Loffman and Harlan Loffman, both residents of Scottsdale.
A Memorial Service will be held at MESSINGER’S PINNACLE PEAK MORTUARY, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, Scottsdale, Ariz. 85255) at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 11th.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Kiwanis Club of Carefree’s Benefit Foundation Building Fund or Hospice of the Valley.
