GENEVA — Richard F. Trice Sr., age 76, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at UH-Geneva Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 3, 1937, in Unity, Pa., to Gladys (Johnson) and Robert Trice. Richard married Shirley Berlin on Jan. 27, 1961, in Export, Pa.
Richard worked as a lineman and cable splicer for Alltel and owned and operated R & R Trenching in Geneva for 35 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason in Geneva. Richard was a past member of VFW Post #6846 in Geneva and the Geneva-on-the-Lake Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Trice; sons, Richard (Debbie) Trice Jr., Dr. Randy (Beth) Trice and Rusty (Amy) Trice; daughter, Stacy (Daryl) Jones; grandchildren, Krysten, Ryan, Zachary, Adam, Christian, Aundrea, Matthew and Ciara; great-granddaughter, Terra; brothers, Bill, Lester and Denny; and sisters, Nancy, Becky and Susie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gladys.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 5th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 6th, at the Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Haury, of Crossroads Community Church, officiating. Final resting place will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
