WINDSOR TOWNSHIP — Shirley J. Milburn, age 78, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at UH-Geauga Medical Center, after a short illness.
She was born March 29, 1935, in Cleveland, the daughter of Frank and Dolores (Rodgers) Unger. She was married to Marvin W. Milburn on August 25, 1955.
Survivors include her children, Marvin (Helen) Milburn, Mark (Gayle) Milburn, Diane Pan, Sandra Milburn and William Milburn; and grandchildren, Melissa, Heather, Tonya, Miles, Gibson, Theresa and Chris.
Shirley was a former school bus driver for the Jefferson School System for 27 years. She attended the Eagleville Bible Church and was a benefactor of TNT Playhouse in Niles. She loved taking care of her family; especially cooking, gardening, and going on trips with them.
Her interests included going to the theater, sending and collecting greeting cards, and feeding and watching the birds from her kitchen window, especially the hummingbirds. She liked collecting bells and anything with a butterfly or hummingbird on it. She was a great mother, wife, and human being; she will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her true love and spouse of 53 years, Marvin W. Milburn; son, Boyd Milburn; and her parents.
The family will hold private services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to TNT Playhouse, 5883 Youngstown Warren Road, Niles, Ohio 44446 in her name.
