Maida A. Tingley, age 81, of Geneva, Ohio, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born August 24, 1931, in Austinburg, Ohio, the daughter of John and Myrtle (Carpenter) Pierce.
Maida was a meat cutter at Isaly's and Redmond's, also worked at Chapman's Diner, Shoe Store, Lawson's and caregiver for her husband.
She is survived by her sons, Merle, Michael and Donald, all of Geneva, Roger (Sonya) of Enid, Okla. and Duane (Brenda) of Madison; numerous grand, great and great-great-grandchildren; brother, John (Betty) Pierce of Florida; and a sister, Dorothy Crislip of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle; son, David; her parents; a great grandson; brothers, Harold, Lewis, Ancel and Garold; and a sister, Gladys.
Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 11th, at First Community Church of God, 1910 S. Ridge Road W., Ashtabula, with Pastor Hal Morgan officiating. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery in Plymouth Township (corner of State Road and Plymouth Ridge).
Calling Hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10th, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva.
