WARREN — Sara E. Brown, age 85, of Warren, Ohio, formerly of Southington, passed away late Sunday evening, Nov. 24, 2013, surrounded by her family.

She was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Niles, Ohio, a daughter of the late Leavitt Newhard and Sadie Winsper Newhard. She married Wilbert Brown on Sept. 12, 1947. She was a 1945 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, and attended Warren Business College.

Sara was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and member of the Martha Circle of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Newton Falls, Ohio. Sara was also a member of the Warren Civic Music Association, Niles Historical Society and Niles Bicentennial chorus from 1976 to 1986.

She enjoyed dancing, swimming and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns.

Sara was totally devoted to her family and extremely proud of her grandchildren. In September, she welcomed her first great-grandchild.

Memories of Sara will be cherished by her daughters, Lavona F. Buchner of Aurora, Colo., and Trudy L. (Robert) Ward of Austinburg, Ohio; sons, Timothy W. (Heidi) Brown of Vienna, Ohio, Laurence "Larry" W. (Tami) Brown of Arvada, Colo., and Jeff A. (Jackie) Brown of Greer, S.C.; grandchildren, Devin (Kristan) Ward, Eric (Jessica) Brown, Shaun Brown, Sara M. (Luke) Cogar, Colby Ward and fiancée Rashunda Chapman, Samantha Brown, Jordan Brown, Janson Brown and Hayden Brown; and great-granddaughter, Kinsley Bliss Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbert W. Brown; and brothers, William Newhard and Ivor Newhard.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27th, at CARL W. HALL FUNERAL HOME, 533 N. Park Ave., Warren, where Chaplain Roger Zale, of Hospice of the Western Reserve, will officiate. Sara will be laid to rest in Kerr Cemetery, Weathersfield, Ohio.

Friends and family may visit from 6 to 8 p.m., TODAY, Tuesday, Nov. 26th, at CARL W. HALL FUNERAL HOME.
