CLEVELAND — There is another beautiful angel in heaven. Our Lanie Jae Powell received her wings Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, after a brief stay at University Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.

Lanie was born Oct. 22, 2009, in Conneaut, Ohio, the daughter of David C. Roosa of Akron, Ohio and Macie Rae Powell of Conneaut.

This world will be forever void of her precious smile and sweet laughter. Lanie enjoyed every minute of her life. She was an outgoing 4 year old that loved to dance, draw and color pictures, spending days at the beach and giving lots of hugs to her loved ones.   

Lanie is survived by her parents; maternal grandparents, James and Michelle (Missi) Williams of Conneaut, and Vern and Maureen Powell of Mooresville, N.C.; paternal grandparents, David and Natasha Roosa of Conneaut, and Billie Jean Roosa of Akron; maternal great-grandparents, Lori and Kevin Jury, Ted and Janet English, and Connie Williams, all of Conneaut, and Shirley and James Powell of Statesville, N.C.; paternal great-grandparents, Duane and Bonnie Roosa, Don and Peggy Cosner, all of Conneaut and Jeanie Morris of Akron; great-great-grandparents, Delores English Briel and Jodi Reith, both of Conneaut; aunts and uncles, Celeste English Williams, Rebecca Roosa, Madison Powell, Perry Williams, Julie Williams, Betty Jo McCabe, Paula Wells, Ted and Laurinda English, Crystal and Jamie Emus, Mathew Jury, Nancy Herrera, and Gino Beeman.

Calling Hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 13th, at RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor St., Conneaut.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14th, at St. Frances Cabrini Church, with Fr. Raymond Thomas, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Route 20, North Kingsville, Ohio.
