Donations will assist Right Track program

The Right Track afterschool and summer program has received financial assistance from the York Children’s Foundation and the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home of Conneaut, according to a statement.
With the funeral home acting as a grant sponsor, Right Track received $750 from the Foundation, which distributes funds to non-profit organizations that benefit children. The funeral home added another $250 to the total.
The Foundation, created in 1992, is funded by the Matthews Casket Division, which also assumes all administrative costs.
Right Track will use the money for supplies and activities, according to the statement. Right Track provides structured programs for at-risk children from kindergarten to grade 5 during the school year and during a six-week period in summer.
Crafts, games, physical activities, discussions and numerous character-building activities are part of the program
