Fine Arts Association, 38660 Mentor Ave., Willoughby, is a nonprofit organization operating the School of Fine Arts with classes in music, art, dance and drama. CLASSICAL

64th Annual presentation of Handel’s “Messiah,” on Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. at St. Gabriel Church, 9935 Johnnycake Ridge Road. Violins, piano, harpsichord, organ and trumpet will accompany over 200 voices of the chorus and professional soloists. Free admission! For more info: (440) 352-8282.

Ashtabula County Choral Music Society, for experienced singers over 17, rehearsals are 7 to 9 p.m. Children’s Choir, for grades 5 and 6, rehearses 4 to 5 p.m., and Youth Choir for experienced singers in grades 7 through 12, rehearses 5 to 6:30 p.m. All choirs rehearse Mondays at the First United Methodist Church, 4506 Elm Ave., Ashtabula. The Good Life is made up of volunteers who love to sing and share their talents, is looking for individuals to join. They perform Christmas and spring concerts at the Ashtabula Arts Center and for other organizations in the county.     Mention “The Rocky Horror Show” and almost everyone has an opinion, whether they've seen the movie or stage adaptation or not. It has been a cult classic for over three decades, since its release in 1975, and it has garnered plenty of criticism and negative commentary. Because public reaction to this extremely odd piece of musical comedy has been so strong for so long, many with an opinion have never even seen the movie or play. And many certainly do not understand that it is a spoof of shock theater. Yet they continue to berate the show as immoral and lewd.
