CLASSES
Ashtabula Arts Center, 2928 W. 13th St., Ashtabula; 440-964-3396. Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday to Thursday; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday. Classes are being offered for all types of dance, including ballet, music, voice, theater and visual arts are offered.
“Dance Forum” will introduce many aspects involved with a maturing dancer's knowledge of dance as an art form as well as a business. Students will explore different genres, choreographers and dance outlets. Along with discussion groups we will encompass topics such as resumes, auditions and networking. Students will learn to produce a mock performance using budgeting and marketing skills. The class will be offered each Thursday from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m. for eights weeks beginning June 18. This class will be team taught by Shelagh Dubsky and Clover Robinson. Pre-registration is required for all classes and workshops and can be made by calling the Ashtabula Arts Center at 440-964-3396. Arts Center members will receive a discount on the price of all classes and workshops.
AAC's two newest jewelry workshops: “Acid Etched Pendant Workshop” with instructor Kim O'Neill will be held for adults and teens on Wednesday, June 24 from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. The workshop fee is $45 plus a $20 materials fee.
