St. Peter’s hosts Cleveland Orchestra Trio

ASHTABULA — The St. Peter's Fine Arts Series will present the Cleveland Orchestra Piano Trio in concert April 27 at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 4901 Main Ave.
They will be joined by local pianist Timothy Kalil and will perform a concert of works by Bach, Brahms, Piazzolla and others. Given in memory of Albert Carlisle, the concert is free. A meet the artists reception will follow.
Formed in 1993, The Cleveland Orchestra Piano Trio consists of violinist Stephen Rose, cellist Richard Weiss and pianist Joela Jones.
Rose is principal second violinist of The Cleveland Orchestra, a position he has held since 2001. He joined the orchestra in 1997 as a member of the first violin section. Rose appears annually at many music festivals.
Weiss is first assistant principal cellist of The Cleveland Orchestra. While a student in Los Angeles, he won first prize in the Music Teachers National Association competition. Prior to graduation from the Eastman School of Music, he won a position in The Cleveland Orchestra.
Joela Jones is principal keyboardist of the Cleveland Orchestra. She plays piano, harpsichord, organ, celesta and even accordion.
