— Cara Ellen Leinhardt and Michael Joseph Gruey exchanged marriage vows in a double-ring ceremony April 14, 2011, on the Princess Cruise Line in the Caribbean. The captain of the ship officiated the 2 p.m. wedding.

In attendance were the groom’s parents, Diane and Carl Gruey of Kingsville; the bride’s mother, Virginia “Dolly Leinhardt of Blacksburg, Va.; and the bride’s brother, Ted Leinhardt. The bride’s father is the late Dr. Theodore Leinhardt.

The bride appeared in a strapless gown of white satin featuring ruching throughout the fitted bodice and skirt. She wore a diamond and emerald necklace borrowed from the mother of the groom.

The groom was attired in a classic black suit with white shirt and four-in-hand tie.

A reception for the couple was held at the Crown Grill aboard ship.

The bride is a graduate of Blacksburg High School and New River College. The groom graduated from St. John High School and attended University of Toledo and University of Arizona. The couple reside in Sun City, Ariz.
