Katherine Crislip and Kenneth Scaife were united in marriage in a 3 p.m. wedding July 7, 2012, at The Ohio State University Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center Stone House in Wooster. James Frost officiated the ceremony. Music for the occasion was provided by Wendy Barlow of Wooster, harpist. Candles were lighted in memory of loved ones, especially the bride’s sister, Debbie Brenneman.
Parents of the bride are Dennis Hale of Rock Creek and Bertha Hall of Ashtabula. The groom’s parents are Richard and Barbara Scaife of Tiffin.
For her wedding the bride chose an ivory gown trimmed in satin, beaded with buttons and a black sash. The train was also accented with buttons. She added an ivory veil with black trim. The groom was attired in a classic black tuxedo with ivory vest and tie.
Serving as the maid of honor was Cassandra Crislip of Ashtabula, daughter of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jessica Crislip of Ashtabula, daughter of the bride, and Mallory Scaife of Wooster, daughter of the groom. Flower “girl” was Maggie Mae, the bride’s dog.
Best man was Kevin Scaife of Berea, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were William Emerson of Ashtabula, brother of the bride, and Steven Scaife of Wooster, son of the groom. A reception for the couple followed at OSU OARDC Stone House.
The bride is employed at Silver Sands Shared Residence in Ashtabula and Care Star. The groom is employed with The Ohio State University Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center in Wooster.
The couple honeymooned in the Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee and North Carolina. They are residing in Wooster.
