For the Star Beacon

— Stacy Marie Varee became the bride of Scott Ryan Shirley in a double-ring ceremony 1 p.m. Oct. 19, 2013, in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

Parents of the bride are Dennis and JoAnn Varee of North Kingsville. The groom’s parents are Gail Shirley and the late William Shirley of Cleveland Heights.

For her wedding the bride chose an A-line gown of white satin with sheer overlay and designed with folds at the front waistline. Beaded embroidery accented the fitted bodice and along the front of the skirt, the hemline and chapel-length train. The sheer cap sleeves were adorned with tiny pearls. To complete her ensemble she wore a single strand of pearls. The groom was attired in a classic black tuxedo with white shirt and black four-in-hand tie.

Serving as honor attendant for the bride was her mother. Best man and ring bearer was Matthew Shirley, son of the groom.

The bride is employed as a supervisor at Great Lakes Cheese in Geauga County. The groom is employed as sort manager at Fed Ex in Richfield. Following a honeymoon in Niagara Falls, Canada, the couple reside in Highland Heights.
