— Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. Reichert of Ashtabula are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. A family dinner in their honor was held in Columbus.
Paul and Edith (Harris) were married June 6, 1953, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Conneaut.
The couple’s family includes daughter Mary Kathleen, son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Kathleen Reichert, all of Ashtabula; daughter and son-in-law Ann Marie and Steven Polovick of Westerville. They have two granddaughters, Megan Reichert and Emma Polovick; and five stepgrandchildren, Michael and David DeWitt, Katy, Marcus and Patrick Polovick.
Mr. Reichert retired in 1985 as associate professor and emeritus dean after 23 years as dean of Kent State University Ashtabula Campus. He then served as interim dean at KSU Trumbull Campus. He is the manager and former commodore of Red Brook Boat Club, where he has been a member for 48 years. Mrs. Reichert was a business teacher at Conneaut High School for 11 years and Harbor High School for 14 years, retiring in 1987. They have been members of Our Lady of Peace, Mother of Sorrows Church since 1965.
