— Kidd Springs Park was the setting for the wedding uniting Andrea Carter and Mark Crawford on May 10, 2014, in Dallas, Texas. Pastor Isaac Harris of Frisco, Texas, officiated the ceremony. Vocalist for the occasion was Serenthia Lucas of Dallas.
Parents of the bride are Mac and Shirley Carter of Ashtabula. The groom’s parents are Ira Crawford and the late Thurmon Crawford Sr. of Newton, Texas. For her wedding the bride chose a gown of lace over satin designed with an empire waistline adorned with beaded detail, cap sleeves and an illusion lace back. The back shaped an A-line silhouette with chapel train.
The groom was attired in an ivory tuxedo with white shirt, ivory Bellagio vest and tie.
Serving as maid of honor was Caroline Nicole Jones of Duncanville, Texas. Bridesmaids included Irweena Crawford Brown of Houston, Texas; Sharon Jefferson of Mesquite, Texas; and Britney Mason of Dallas. Flower girls were Taylor Brown and Leah Ferguson, both of Houston.
Best man was Jose Espinoza of Fort Worth, Texas. Groomsmen were Robert Crawford of Lancaster, Texas; Thurmon Crawford of Duncanville; and Kalvin Jones of Terrell, Texas. Ushers were Prince Kalvin Jones of Duncanville and Isaiah Jones of Duncon, Texas. Ring bearer was Brennen Ferguson of Houston.
Among those receiving flowers was the bride’s grandmother, Grace Cunningham of Andover.
A reception for the couple was held at the Kidd Springs Recreation Center.
The bride, a 2001 graduate of Edgewood Senior High School, received her associate of applied science degree in physical therapy in 2007 and a bachelor of general studies degree from Kent State University in 2008. She is employed with Superior Pediatric Care Inc. in Dallas. The groom graduated from Newton High School in 1993 and received his certification in automotive welding from Angelina College in 1996. He is employed as a technician at Industrial Power Isuzu Trucks in Fort Worth.
