— Rudi Anne Raynes and Cory Benjamin Kidder were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony May 22, 2010, at St. John United Methodist Church in Scott Depot, W.Va. The Rev. Jeff Arthur officiated the 3 p.m. wedding. Vocalists for the occasion were Chastity Scantlin of Poca, W.Va., cousin of the bride, and Ryan Hardiman of Milton, W.Va.

Parents of the couple are Rudolph and Constance Raynes of Buffalo, W.Va., and Ron and Terri Kidder of Jefferson.

For her wedding the bride chose a Michael Nolte gown of ivory alencon lace designed with cap sleeves and sweetheart neckline. The fitted bodice featured a dramatic keyhole open back. Beading embellished the natural waistline and the skirt extended to a chapel-length train.

The groom was attired in a classic black Ralph Lauren tuxedo with three-button notch lapel coat.

Serving her sister as maid of honor was Kris Raynes of Winfield, W.Va. Bridesmaids included Kim Buckingham of Toledo, sister of the groom; Leigh Harding of Cincinnati; Micah Osborne and Breann Henson, both of Winfield. Junior bridesmaid was Karley Rogers of Scott Depot, niece of the bride. Also attending the bride were Josh O’Dell of Washington, D.C.; Brian Arnold of Bluefield, W.Va.; and Justin Wright of Eleanor, W.Va. Flower girl was Kassidy Blood of Ashtabula, cousin of the groom. Ring bearers were Tyler Doyle and Jacob Blood, both of Ashtabula, cousins of the groom. Kathy Buckley of Hurricane, aunt of the bride, was wedding coordinator.

Best man was Kyle Jones of Hurricane, W.Va. Groomsmen were Jeff Buckingham of Toledo, brother-in-law of the groom; Matt Baker of Willoughby; Kurt Kapferer of Stowe; Todd Brininger of Chicago; Boo Hager of Belfry, Ky.; Ryan Taylor of Morgantown, W.Va.; and Robert Flinn of Hurricane. Ushers were Quentin and Christian Buckley, both of Hurricane, cousins of the bride; and Kolbe Rogers of Scott Depot, nephew of the bride.

Among those receiving flowers was Jennie Bielech of Jefferson, grandmother of the groom.

A reception for the couple was held at Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Hurricane.

The bride graduated from Poca High School and received her degree in broadcast journalism from Concord University. She is a television news reporter for WCHS-WVAH and is also executive director of the West Virginia Sheriffs Association. The groom, a graduate of Jefferson Area High School, received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from West Virginia State University. He is pursuing an executive master of business administration degree at University of Charleston. He is employed as a sales and service manager at Frontier Communications in Charleston.

Following a honeymoon at Sandals Resort, Antigua, the couple reside in Hurricane.
