“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” — Roger Caras, author and former ASPCA president
SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP — Amy Gustafson always has loved caring for dogs and cats, so when the opportunity arose to do it professionally, she pounced on it.
Gustafson, owner-operator of FourPaws PetSitting, is fully bonded, insured and ready to play with Fido, Fluffy, Spot or Tippy.
“Amy is a natural with animals. She truly loves them and will give your pet that extra attention, which is real important and comforting for people who have to leave their pets behind,” said Peggy Wilkinson, of Ashtabula, who entrusts her family pets to Gustafson whenever the need arises.
Gustafson, who is also a veterinary assistant and kennel manager at a local veterinary hospital, will take special care of clients’ pets at their home.
“Although the majority of pets do not seem to mind being boarded in a kennel facility, some pets do not adjust well and may experience stress. These are the pets that would be happier in their own homes while their owners are away,” Gustafson said.
Gustafson will visit a client’s home three times a day for dogs and two times a day for cats. Her services include feedings, medicating (if needed), litter-box and feces cleanup, play time, dog walking, daily brushings, documentation of each visit and whatever else the client requires.
“I am not limited to dogs and cats. I will care for clients’ birds, reptiles and any caged critters,” she said.
“Animals are my passion. I am very thorough and offer a free 20-minute consultation to meet you and your pets.”
Four Paws Pet Sitting is a member of Pet Sitters International. Contact Amy Gustafson by phone (440 964-5847 or 440 812-8018) or through the Web Site (www.fourpawssitting.com).
