ASHTABULA — The Silver Branch, located at 1012 Bridge St., is a metaphysical jewelry store featuring eight lighted and attractive jewelry cases. Shari Lynn, owner of the store, opened four years ago, bringing a New Age metaphysical business to the historic Ashtabula Harbor.
“There are so many wonderful things about Ashtabula, and I am here to bring a welcoming positive business to this area,” said Lynn.
A diamond specialist and gemologist, Lynn has expanded her knowledge to the metaphysical properties of stones and minerals for healing, peace and well-being for her large customer base. Lynn is also an exclusive dealer of Magical Delights, a high-quality jewelry line of sterling silver and gold pieces with creatively set gemstones.
“These are so elegant and beautiful. You have to see them to truly appreciate what a pleasure they are look at,” she said.
Lynn’s newest line is the dramatic Silver Iguana jewelry, which is metallic and bold.
Lynn has applied the Laws of Attraction in creating her thriving business. The Laws of Attraction is based on Esther and Jerry Hicks, whereby you use your mind to manifest what you would like to have happen in your life. In other words, change your thinking to change your life, she said. “Becoming a successful entrepreneur was a dream I had held for many years while working in the retail jewelry business.”
Lynn also is very knowledgeable about stones and minerals, astrology, and New Age philosophy and practice.
“Stones and minerals enhance our own energies,” she said.
The Silver Branch offers a large selection of tumbled stones, crystal spheres, quartz and other exotic stones and minerals. Other items offered are inspirational books, angel cards, Reikicharged candles, high quality clothing for spirited women, fairies, powerful manifesting tools and sculpture.
“Our peaceful, positive atmosphere and the fabulous smell in here, truly (make) it a pleasant spiritual shopping experience,” Lynn said.
In March the lift bridge will be closed until fall, but Lynn remains undaunted. “I am very optimistic about the lift bridge closing,” Lynn said. “I look at it as an opportunity to pull together as a community and support one another in these trying economic times we are all currently faced with.” As a result Lynn has collaborated with Shannon Pennell, owner of Salon 1020, also located on Bridge Street, and they are heading up a summer project called “Dancing in the Street,” which will begin in May.
“We wanted to create a fun and welcoming environment for people to come together and generate positive energy through an open-mike format. We are asking local people to share their musical and creative talents to help promote themselves and the beautiful Ashtabula Harbor at the same time. Several talented musicians have stepped forward to ensure this project will get all the juice necessary for the event to be one of the hottest events to hit the Ashtabula Harbor,” said Lynn.
So what will Lynn and friends be doing while the bridge is closed?
“We will be dancing in the street,” she said.
The Silver Branch is open Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sundays it has seasonal hours. Call for more information (440 964-2178).
