PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP — Great news for bargain hunters — the North Coast Flea Market has moved into town.
The market is located at 3923 Jefferson Road, in the plaza behind Ashtabula County Regional Home Health, said owner Dave Klender.
Ashtabula’s newest flea market features coins, tools, jeans, toy cars, NASCAR memorabilia, videos, games, sunglasses, jewelry, electrical parts, knives, swords, dolls, hunting supplies, antiques, craft items, Amish baked goods, fruits and vegetables, collectibles and more.
“So far business has been good. With gas prices so high people are willing to shop local. We are providing a service for people looking for great bargains,” Klender said.
Klender started out in this business as a vendor in area flea markets selling coins.
“I have enjoyed shopping at flea markets for many years,” he said. “I began looking for places to sell my coins and wondered if I could own my own flea market.”
Klender decided to take the plunge and is very pleased with his location on Jefferson Road.
“It is clean, bright and well organized; and we have excellent lighting,” he said.
Klender is happy with the variety of items the vendors are able to sell, especially the Amish baked donuts, which he says are excellent.
New vendors are always welcome.
“Our lowest price is $13 a day for a ten by eleven foot spot,” Klender said.
“Come down and check us out,” he said.
North Coast Flea Market is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call Klender at (440 998-1524) for further information.
