Arrest made in judge’s poisoning
The wife of an Ashtabula County Common Pleas judge has been arrested in connection with the poisoning of the judge.
Carla Hague, wife of Probate and Juvenile Judge Charles Hague, was being held Tuesday in the Lake County Adult Probation Facility on charges related to the poisoning of her husband.
It is believed Judge Hague was poisoned with antifreeze in September.
Woman in fetus case turns self in
A 28-year-old area woman wanted for questioning in the discovery of a fetus in an Ashtabula Township residence Tuesday morning made contact with Ashtabula County Sheriff’s detectives Wednesday morning, sources said. See Thursday’s Star Beacon for more details.

Residents can still dial 911 for emergencies and they will be rerouted to Mentor Police for assistance. Polling locations changed for three Ashtabula precincts
Heating problems at an Ashtabula polling place has prompted the Ashtabula County Board of Elections to relocate three precincts for Tuesday’s general election.
Ashtabula precincts 3A, 3B and 4A have been moved to Messiah Lutheran Church, 615 W. Prospect Road, said Carol Lovas, election board director.
