JEFFERSON - - The 20th Annual Strawberry Festival and Craft Bazaar at the historic Jefferson Depot Village will be held June 16 and 17 at 147, E. Jefferson St.
The event, featuring strawberry shortcake, a unique craft show, horse-drawn surrey rides, a quilt show, antique car show, entertainment, a special kid's corner, spaghetti dinner, homemade bake sale and more, will begin Saturday at 11 a.m.
There will be live entertainment on the bandstand both days plus the Erie Heights Brass Ensemble will perform at 4 p.m. on Saturday. A spaghetti dinner will be served in the 1872 Depot Baggage Room from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
Sunday activities start at noon with crafts, quilts and tours, strawberry shortcake, rides, music, food and fun for the whole family. The annual antique car show starts at 1 p.m. All proceeds benefit the restoration of the 1883 One-room Schoolhouse and 1888 Victorian House. Free parking is available, kids get in free and a donation of $2 or more is requested for adults.
Spaces are still available for crafters. This is a juried craft show and requires a detailed description of items displayed. There is no jury fee. No flea market or manufactured items will be accepted. Booth fee is $40. For crafter applications, contact Jean Dutton (576-0496).
